v-zone-neck-creamDermatologists I have spoken to say that when it comes to skin care, the neck area is often the most neglected.
I must admit, I have been guilty of occasionally skipping the area below my chin when it comes to moisturising, but ever since I discovered that it’s one of the first to show signs of ageing and also the most difficult to treat - I’ve always given it the attention it needs.

It seems that beauty houses have also taken notice by launching specific creams to target this zone. The major creams to look out for during the next few months are ones from Clarins, Guerlain, Givenchy and Good Skin Labs.  There are also some pretty impressive ones already on shelves. Try 3Lab Perfect Neck Cream, (£80) - the skincare brand from America has included a bioengineered growth hormone in this cream to help firm skin at a cellular level. !QMS Medicosmetics by Dr Schulte has the Neck & More Cream, (£153) contains oils extracted from exotic plants that work to strengthen the connective tissue and give the skin a soft and smooth appearance.

The StriVectin Neck Cream, (£70), aims to lift, tone and firm the skin on the neck area with the help of added botanical extracts (from soy, rye and sweet almond) and functional ingredients derived from the pine tree and yeast.

My mum has been testing the Dr Brandt Time Arrest V-Zone Neck Cream, (£50) and her skin looks silkier and smoother after only two weeks of use.

If your neck needs an intensive treatment, book yourself in for the The Ark Cleavage Facial (£75;020 8788 8888), which targets the neck and chest. It includes a cleanse, exfoliation, mask and moisturising with rose oil-based products to help smooth wrinkles, heal rough, damaged skin, whilst firming and re-hydrating.
